With our letter no. 41/14 from 4th February 2014, the members of the Union of Employers’ Associations of RS have been notified that the Decision of Cancellation of the General Collective Agreement, made by the Assembly of the UEARS, was published in the “Official Gazette of RS” no. 02/14.

The 3 months notice period specified in paragraph 5 of Article 59 of the canceled General Collective Agreement (“Official Gazette of RS” no. 40/10) expired on 27th April 2014.

With a letter number 254/14 on 30th April 2014. the Union of Employers’ Associations of the RS informed the social partners on the expiry of the notice period, and based on Article 59, paragraph 6 of the canceled General Collective Agreement invited the social partners to initiate proceedings to conclude a new collective agreement.

Bearing in mind the expiry of the notice period and the period for instituting proceedings to conclude a new collective agreement, and in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 163 of the Labour law – revised version (“Official Gazette of the RS” no 55/07), we inform you that legal persons acting on the territory of the Repubka Srpska are not obliged to apply the provisions of the canceled General Collective Agreement (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbian“, number 40/10).

We invite the members of the Union of Employers’ Associations of the RS to participate in the procedure of negotiations for the conclusion of a new collective agreement, and, by proposals and suggestions based on the experiences in the application of the canceled collective agreements, to contribute to quality preparation of the UEARS representatives in the upcoming negotiations.
